Expanding our Reach – Terrace, BC

Geotech is proud to announce our new permanent operations in Terrace, British Columbia. We recognize current and future economic activity and opportunity in the Kitimat – Stikine regional district and Prince Rupert region of British Columbia for drilling services, and wish to provide an advantage to our clients for decreased mobilization costs and choice of a local contractor in the region.

Geotech has operated in the area for over 20 years, supporting programs from our main operations in Prince George, BC.  Regionally, our team is actively involved in numerous pipeline alignments, LNG plant sites, mine site investigations and local infrastructure programs. With this new location, we will endeavor to increase our engagement of local vendors and services to enhance the economic value.

Over the past month Geotech mobilized drilling, support equipment, and tooling to serve the infrastructure (geotechnical & environmental) drilling sector.

How will this new location benefit our Terrace clients?

  • Reduce mobilization costs for project sites in the north-west region of BC
  • Eliminate crew subsistence for Terrace based projects
  • Assist with the efficiency of project logistics before, during, and at the completion of projects in the area
  • Support local vendors for inventory and supplies
  • Provide the opportunity and advantage of a “local” contractor

Geotech genuinely believes that working safely enhances drilling production; we endeavor to ensure this belief is shared throughout the entire organization, from the new employee at the work interface, through to the most senior manager.  Our commitment to this belief in “safe production” is critical in establishing and maintaining a safety culture which will extend to our Terrace operations, ensuring our crews get home safely at the end of every day.
